The cuts of meteorite that Rolex uses are absolutely incredible- the Widmanstatten lines are very clear, and the different crystals of metal reflect lines at different angles depending on how the watch is being held. Meteorite is such an amazing material to use for a watch dial, and it cannot be replicated on Earth since the separation of the material happens during extremely slow cooling- on the order of 1 degree per million years!
Rumors are everywhere as to why this watch was discontinued, so pick whichever one you’d like to believe. Inconsistent ceramic coloring, environmental impact of red dye, they ran out of meteorite, etc. Are any true???
Comes as a full set of box/papers as seen- only missing one bracelet link. The warranty card is dated in 2022.
