Up for sale here is a ridiculously nice example of the famous Rolex Day-Date, sporting the incredible bark finish- displayed here as it should be, not polished down as so many on the market are! Ref. 18078.
What’s really incredible about this one is that it appears to be completely unpolished- the serial number dates it to 1981, and while it is not an unworn or “new old stock” example, looking at the crisp corners of the lugs, the thickness of the bezel and the height of the bark texture, and the tightness of the bracelet- it is clear that this timepiece was very well looked after. There is even a good bit of toning, especially on the bezel- further suggesting that this piece is untouched!
Comes with an original Rolex box and 22 links in the bracelet!
