Richard Mille Dizzy Hands RM63-01 in Rose gold
Up for sale here is my personal favorite from the Richard Mille lineup.
RM is well known as a manufacturer in pursuit of technological innovation. Indeed, their partnership with numerous F1 teams and research facilities show their dedication to progress, and the work speaks for itself.
This timepiece is no exception. The movement (CRMA3) has a free sprung balance wheel, faster rotating mainspring barrel, and an altered gear tooth profile- all in the name of a more reliable and accurate timepiece than the competition.
All of the innovation and technical superiority is on display through both the exhibition caseback and the skeletonized sapphire dial. This level of craftsmanship and detail is basically to be expected with an RM timepiece, but what really sets this model apart is the thought behind the Dizzy Hands movement.
Inspired by the poem Le Temps by Gérard de Nerval, which begins:
"Time does not surprise the wise, but of Time the wise laughs, as only he knows how to use it."
From this, I take away the following ideology: we are a species that undergoes a finite lifespan, therefore no matter what we choose to fill our lives with, time is all we have. More popularly: time is our only real asset, it is the only true currency.
So when you click the button on the crown and send the dial and hour hand rotating in opposite directions, take with gratitude the joy and peace that exists in an unmeasured moment of time.
This timepiece is in excellent condition, and comes as a full set with all boxes, paperwork, and manuals. The certificate is dated in November of 2019.
