Rolex Datejust 41mm Wimbledon dial with factory defect- purple fade!

$18,950.00

Up for sale here is a rare opportunity to own something that almost never makes it out of the Rolex factory. This is a Rolex Datejust 41mm in 904L stainless steel, with the popular Wimbledon dial. Ref. 126300

When this watch left Rolex, and when it was sold at the AD in April of 2022, it had a grey dial. The grey dial that you’re used to seeing on Datejusts! Somehow, since then, the grey color has started to turn purple!

This color change is most prominently seen around the edge, along the outer minute markers. But as you can see, the color has spread throughout the entire dial. Only the grey color is affected; as you can see, the green outline of the Roman numerals is normal. Amazing to see how the dial changes in different lighting!

It’s rare to see factory defects from Rolex at all- but even more so when a change like this occurs so quickly! The Wimbledon dial itself was introduced in 2009, yet only now are we seeing something like this- and only on a very short run within 2022. Personally, I know of only 3 so far, and have had in hand only this one.

Comes as a full set as delivered from the AD, dated in April of 2022.

Asking price is $18,950

All watches sold by us come with a 1 year warranty on movement, case, and bracelet functionality.
