Up for sale here is one of the most exquisite timepieces I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The AP Starwheel, cased in 18k white gold and black ceramic, features the “wandering hours” method of telling time- in which the minutes are read by the counter across the top of the dial, and the hour is noted by the number under the arrow pointing to the minutes. Ref. 15212NB.
While the wheel indicating the hour stays locked to the minute tack, the other two wheels “wander” around the dial, rotating through time.
The hour wheels are set on top of an aventurine dial- an incredible material I highly recommend you experience on any watch that you can! Even in low light, the amount of shine it casts and sparkles is absolutely out of this world- just like the twinkling stars in the night sky.
If you’ve seen some of my other listings, you might know I’m partial to meteorite dials. But the aventurine dial is unlike any other I’ve ever seen. It’s a completely unique texture and look, and is nothing short of captivating.
Even the Code 11.59 casing itself is unique- a blend of brushed white gold with skeletonized lugs and a beautiful ceramic middle case.
This timepiece comes as a full set as delivered from the AD, and is in new and unworn condition.
